I've been feeling really weary lately. The kind of tired that sleep doesn't quite fix. Like I'm carrying something heavy up a steep hill, and I'm not entirely sure when I'll reach the top or if there even is a top.
That's where this print came from, honestly. I designed it during a season when I was feeling the weight of everything. The figure in the artwork is carrying a heavy burden up a hillside, and that felt very personal to me. Sometimes life just feels like that, doesn't it? One foot in front of the other, head down, carrying more than feels manageable.
But I added the wildflowers for a reason. Even when we're looking down, even when we're struggling with each step, there's beauty everywhere. God scatters it around us, even in the hardest seasons. Sometimes we're too tired to notice it, but it's there. The oranges, the reds, the soft blues. Little reminders that we're not walking through a barren wasteland.
Matthew 11:28-30 has been such a comfort to me lately. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." It's Jesus speaking directly to those of us who are tired. Not "try harder" or "pull yourself together," but "come to me." Bring it here. Let me carry it.
Our burdens may be large, but God carries both them and us through our trials. That's been the truth I've needed to hear on repeat. I don't have to manage it all alone. Jesus invites us to bring our weariness to Him and find genuine rest. Not a quick fix, but soul-deep rest that comes from knowing we're held.
If you're in a weary season right now, I hope this print reminds you of that truth. You're not alone on that hillside. God is with you, carrying you, scattering beauty around you even when you can't see it yet.
