There are certain verses that seem to steady the heart the moment you read them, and Psalm 103:1 has always been one of those for me. “Bless the Lord, O my soul” is such a simple phrase, yet it carries a depth of meaning that reaches into the everyday. It’s a reminder to pause, breathe and turn my thoughts back toward God, even in the middle of a busy or challenging moment.
When I began creating this meadow print, I wanted it to hold that same sense of quiet gratitude. There’s something calming about a soft field of flowers — the kind of place where you can almost hear the wind and feel the stillness settling around you. Living here in Dorset, I often find inspiration in meadows and countryside paths, where nature seems to echo praise in its own gentle way.
The verse felt right at home within this peaceful scene. As I worked on the design, I kept thinking about how gratitude opens the door to peace. It doesn’t mean everything is perfect, but it shifts the heart toward hope and reminds us of God’s goodness through every season. Even on days when life feels heavy, there is always something to bless Him for.
My hope is that this print brings a sense of calm beauty into your home. Whether it hangs in a hallway, bedroom or a quiet space where you reflect or pray, may it encourage you to pause and lift your soul in thankfulness. Psalm 103:1 is a small verse with a big invitation — to bless the Lord with all that we are, and to notice His presence woven through the everyday.
