There are certain scriptures that feel like a warm hand on the shoulder, and Numbers 6:24-26 has always been one of those for me. Whenever I read these words, I’m reminded of how deeply God cares for us — not just in the grand moments of life, but in the ordinary days when we simply need to feel held and supported. When I began creating this meadow artwork, that blessing was at the forefront of my mind.
There’s something so comforting about a field of wildflowers. Living here in Dorset, I often find myself inspired by the hedgerows and little flashes of colour that appear along country paths. They’re simple, gentle reminders of God’s creativity, and they have a lovely way of lifting the heart. I wanted this print to capture that same feeling — a sense of fresh air, hope, and quiet joy.
As the colours came together on the page, the scripture started to feel alive within the artwork. “The Lord bless you and keep you” isn’t just a phrase; it’s a promise that God watches over us. “The Lord make his face shine on you” speaks of His kindness reaching into our everyday moments. And “give you peace” feels like a soft exhale, a deep reassurance we all need from time to time.
