There is something deeply reassuring about the imagery used in Jeremiah 17:7–8. A tree planted by water, roots reaching deep, leaves remaining green even in the heat. It’s a picture of faith that doesn’t panic when circumstances change, because its strength comes from something far deeper than what’s happening on the surface.
I often return to this verse when life feels uncertain. Trusting the Lord doesn’t mean the absence of difficulty, but it does mean choosing to place confidence in Him rather than in our own understanding. The promise here is not that drought won’t come, but that when it does, God sustains us.
This verse speaks so clearly about where true stability is found. When we rely on God, we are nourished by His presence and guided by His wisdom. There is freedom in knowing that our lives are held by Him, not by outcomes or circumstances.
As an artist, I love how scripture and imagery work together to deepen reflection. Seeing this verse displayed in the home can be a quiet reminder to pause, breathe, and trust again. My prayer is that Jeremiah 17:7–8 encourages hearts to grow strong roots of faith, bearing fruit even through challenging seasons.
