Peace Like A River

Isaiah 66:12 – God’s peace represented in tranquil river and wildflower scene.

We’ve always loved the way a river carries quietness with it. Even before we see the water, we can sense the hush — the softened birdsong, the gentle hum of bees, the way the breeze seems to slow down as it moves across the surface. That’s the feeling we held in our hearts while creating this new print shaped around the promise of Isaiah 66:12: “I will extend peace to her like a river.”

In the artwork, a silver-blue river winds into the distance, the countryside resting peacefully on either side. On the right-hand bank, bees drift happily over wildflowers, stitching the scene together with a soft, summer buzz. It’s a small moment, yet it speaks of something vast — God’s peace flowing steadily through every valley and season.

Isaiah 66:12 – Christian home print with gentle river and wildflowers.
Here in Dorset, we often find that inspiration arrives in the everyday — a walk by Poole Harbour when the tide is kind, a glimpse of sunlight on the Stour, the gentle sway of meadow flowers. Those quiet gifts remind us that the Lord’s peace is not fragile. It doesn’t depend on perfect circumstances. It flows, unhurried and faithful, even when we can’t quite see what’s around the bend.

Isaiah 66:12 – Peaceful river landscape with Bible verse about God’s peace.

Our hope is that this print brings a calm centre to your home. Hang it in a hallway where it greets you as you come and go, in a living room where everyone gathers, or in a prayer corner where you can breathe and be. Let the verse meet you in the ordinary moments — brewing a cuppa, tidying up, pausing at the end of the day — and remember that God’s peace is still moving, still present, still yours.
